Privacy policy

This policy explains what AisleRank LLC ("AisleRank," "we," "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. We build for businesses; we don't sell personal information, and we don't run advertising trackers on our site.

1. Information you give us

Contact and lead details — email address, store URL, and plan interest when you request a scorecard, founding access, or our newsletter.
Scheduling details — name, email, and meeting time if you book a call through our embedded Calendly scheduler.
Billing details — handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Correspondence — anything you send us by email.

2. Information collected automatically

We use PostHog (US cloud) for product analytics: pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate location derived from IP, and device/browser type. Analytics is anonymous until you submit an email, at which point your activity may be linked to it so we can deliver what you asked for. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. Business outreach data

Because we serve ecommerce brands, we may process publicly available business contact information (for example, a store's name, domain, and business email from public sources or licensed data providers) to send relevant business communications. Every marketing email we send includes our postal address and a working unsubscribe link, honored promptly, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribes go on a permanent suppression list.

4. How we use information

Deliver scorecards, reports, and services you request
Operate, secure, and improve the website and our offerings
Process payments and calculate applicable tax
Send transactional and (with unsubscribe) marketing email
Comply with legal obligations

5. Who we share with

Only service providers that help us run the business, under their own privacy commitments: Supabase (database hosting), PostHog (analytics), Vercel (website hosting), Google Workspace (email), Calendly (scheduling), Stripe (payments and tax), Smartlead (email delivery), and Anthropic (AI processing of aggregate metrics — not your personal information). We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention

We keep lead and customer records while relevant to the business relationship and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize them. Suppression-list entries are kept indefinitely so we don't email you again.

7. Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe — every marketing email has a link; or just reply "unsubscribe."
Access, correction, deletion — email us and we'll handle it within 30 days, subject to legal retention needs.
California residents — you have rights to know, delete, and correct under the CCPA/CPRA; we don't sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there's nothing to opt out of. We honor these requests without discrimination.
EEA/UK visitors — our services target US businesses, but if you're covered by GDPR you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection; contact us to exercise them.

Our site doesn't currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored with access-controlled providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as required by law.

9. Children

Our website and services are for business use and not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We'll post updates here with a new effective date. Material changes to how we handle already-collected data will be flagged by email where we have one for you.
